2018 Volkswagen Atlas Price & Info
Volkswagen will be releasing its new SUV later this year. It will start at $33,500 MSRP and while some things are not yet released about the SUV, there have been some big announcements that have been made by the manufacturer. Perhaps one of the biggest things about the new vehicle that is being discussed, however is the warranty that it comes with.
All About The Warranty
The new VW Atlas will come with a transferable 6-year/72,000 mile warranty. It is a bumper to bumper warranty and it is more than what competitors of VW are currently offering in the market. The coverage that comes with the warranty includes the transmission, the engine, and the optional 4Motion all-wheel drive system if you opt for that on your Atlas.
It is also transferable meaning if you sell your Atlas, the warranty can be transferred to the new owner as long as the 6 year or 72,000 mile limit has not yet been met. These components are impressive because not only is the warranty longer than most others on the market, but it can also be transferred which is pretty much unheard of.
“We’re confident in the reliability and workmanship of these SUVs, and we want our customers to be confident in their purchase, We believe this warranty will lead to reduced cost of ownership for Volkswagen owners.”
-Volkswagen Group of America CEO Hinrich Woebcken
The Design Components
The Atlas is a vehicle that has plenty of room for everyone inside the cabin. This includes leg room and headroom for you and up to six passengers. It even has a panoramic sun roof that will make you forget that the SUV even has a roof overhead. The sunroof runs all the way back to the third row so no matter where people are sitting, they can enjoy the views up ahead. It really gives the feeling of a convertible in an SUV. There is also plenty of room on the extra rows of seats for your passengers. If you need to put three car seats on your second row, you have plenty of room to do so. You also have the option of adding captain chairs on the second row if you wish to have those instead. If you fold down the second and third row seats, you get 98.6 cubic feet of space for all of your needs.
On the exterior, it is bold and built to look muscular and strong. It even features 20″ alloy wheels, which you may think are big but they are actually the perfect size to go with the overall design.
Technology has taken a step up in the new VW Atlas. One of the ways you can experience it is with the new driver profiles. If you and someone else will be driving it a lot, just select your driver profile when you get in and all of your preferences will be adjusted. There is also a color touchscreen sound system for when you need to jam out. You may even think you are at a concert. For added security and ease there is the remote start option as well as a plethora of technology based safety components.
